Kings vs. Queens vs. Jacks

Level 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

We missed the details, but it appeared David Inselberg had raised from the cutoff and Son Chau moved all in from the button. The player in the big blind called, and then Inselberg moved all in over the top. It was a hefty pot already, but if the big blind called it would have swelled to over 100K.

"I need a minute," the big blind said. He took it and eventually folded the {q-Spades}{q-Hearts} face up.

"Good fold," Inselberg said and showed his {k-Hearts}{k-Spades}. Chau then tabled the inferior {j-Clubs}{j-Spades}.

The big blind was fortunate to get away as he would have missed after the board ran out a dry {a-Spades}{5-Clubs}{10-Spades}{9-Clubs}{3-Hearts}. Chau hit the rail in 97th place.

Turyansky Stays Alive

Level 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Alexander Turyansky raised all in from the cutoff and an opponent called in the big blind putting himself at risk with just less than Turyansky.

Turyansky: {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs}
Opponent: {a-Spades}{6-Diamonds}

The dealer fanned a board of {9-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{3-Clubs} and Turyansky doubled to 18,400.

The very next hand Turyansky once again shoved, this time from the hijack, and was called by Vinny Pahuja on the button.

Turyansky: {k-Clubs}{8-Clubs}
Pahuja: {A-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

Pahuja took the lead on a {3-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} flop, but the turn {k-Diamonds} put Turyansky in the lead. His pair of kings would hold after the river {5-Clubs}, securing the double up to over 38,000.

Crowe Introduces Hicks to the Ladies

Level 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

With around 20,000 in the pot and a board reading {8-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{5-Hearts}, Kenny Hicks bet 10,500 under the gun and Owen Crowe called him from the cutoff. When the {J-Hearts} completed the board on the river, Hicks thought for a few moments and then slid out a tower of yellow T1,000 chips for a bet of 18,000.

Crowe verified the amount and then slid in a matching stack of his own. Hicks shook his head and showed a bluff with the {k-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}, and then Crowe rolled over the {q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} to win the pot.

Miller Hits the Rail

Level 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Suzanne Miller got her stack all in preflop and was in bad shape against Charles Welch.

Miller: {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Welch: {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}

Miller had some kicker issues, but she found some hope when the {9-Hearts}{8-Spades}{j-Hearts} flop gave her both an open-ended straight and flush draws. The {10-Spades} turn actually paired her ten, but it was a bad card as it gave Welch a queen-high straight. That meant Miller needed to catch a heart on the river to stay alive, but it wasn't in the cards as the {7-Spades} blanked.
