McLellan’s Aggression Backfires

Level 7 : 300/600, 75 ante

Mark Bansemer opened the action for 1,200 and Duncan McLellan, seated next to him, three-bet to 3,050. It folded back around to Bansemer who four-bet to 7,300 with around 14,000 behind.

McLellan set Bansemer in and the latter called with {k-Clubs}{k-Spades} which was in good shape to double-up against the {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs} of McLellan.

The board ran out {a-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{k-Hearts} and McLellan conceded, “Nice hand.”
