Big Slick Doesn't Do the Trick for Deeter

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

We missed the first two bets, but it appeared Trevor Deeter raised from late position and Brian Hastings three-bet from the small blind. Deeter responded with a four-bet to 200,000, Hastings five-bet to 375,000, and Deeter shoved for 552,000. Hastings made the call and the cards were turned up.

Deeter: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}
Hastings: {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}

Deeter was in bad shape, and his best shot at survival was to find either an ace or diamonds. The {j-Spades}{8-Spades}{6-Spades} flop contained neither, and the {J-Clubs} turn meant an ace and an ace only would save Deeter. The dealer burned one last time and put out the {3-Clubs}. Deeter missed and was eliminated from the tournament while Hastings chipped up to 3.23 million.
