Tuthill Thrown a Lifesaver on the River

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

A short-stacked David Tuthill moved all in for 128,000 under the gun only to have Manig Loeser three-bet all in over the top from middle position for a bit over 600K. The rest of the field folded and the cards were tabled.

Tuthill: {k-Clubs}{7-Clubs}
Loeser: {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}

Tuthill was behind, but he was drawing to two live cards. The {10-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{2-Hearts} flop was dry as could be, but the {9-Spades} turn made things interesting as it gave Tuthill an open-ended straight draw. The {7-Diamonds} river didn't complete it, but it was just as good as Tuthill paired his seven to double through Loeser.
