Brummelhuis Returns Towards Starting Stack

Level 3 : 150/300, 0 ante
Michiel Brummelhuis
Michiel Brummelhuis

On a board reading {Q-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}, the player under-the-gun led into Dutch star Michiel Brummelhuis, only for Brummelhuis to raise from the button to 4,300.

"How much is that?" queried the under-the-gun player. The dealer confirmed the amount and the player called.

The river was the {K-Diamonds} and the action was checked over to Brummelhuis. The Dutchman reached for chips, grabbed 8,400 worth and flicked the tower so that it toppled. Brummelhuis' opponent mucked his hand and the pot was shipped to him.

Moorman Busts Main Event

Level 3 : 150/300, 0 ante

Chris Moorman was low on chips and they didn’t last him too long. Paul Volpe opened the action and there was a three bet to 2,200 from the player on the button. Moorman in the big blind moved all in for 7,500 and Volpe raised to 13,000. The button folded and the cards were on their backs.

Moorman held {a-}{q-} against the {q-}{q-} for Volpe. The board ran out {k-}{q-}{7-}{6-}{6-} and Volpe scooped the pot to bust Moorman

Sands Over Bach

Level 3 : 150/300, 0 ante

Erika Sands raised to 650 from early position and David Bach flatted from middle position. The small blind came along for the ride and the three players saw a flop of {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} grace the felt. There were two checks over to Bach and he led into the pot for 1,000. The small blind quickly released his cards and Sand tossed out a call.

The turn was the {7-Clubs} and Sands checked for a second time. Bach checked the table back and the {6-Hearts} finished the board. Two more checks allowed Sands to table {A-Clubs}{3-Clubs} for a winning pair of aces. Bach mucked his cards and Sands was pushed the pot.

Selbst Doubles Through Somerville

Level 3 : 150/300, 0 ante

A very short-stacked Vanessa Selbst was heads up with Jason Somerville on a flop of {4-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{q-Hearts}. Selbst moved all in for 2,975, and Somerville, who just registered, called.

"I have three high," Somerville said, smiling and rolling over {3-Spades}{2-Spades}.

Selbst showed {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} for a pair of aces, giving her an overpair and two blockers. The turn and river bricked {9-Clubs}, {k-Clubs} respectively, and Selbst doubled through.
