More for Shahin As He Takes from Stokkan

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 200 ante
Munir Shahain
Munir Shahain

After one player checked, action was on Munir Shahin on the {A-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{3-Hearts} flop. He checked, and then Preben Stokkan bet 8,000. After the first player folded, Shahin called to see the turn.

The {J-Hearts} came out on fourth street, and Shahin checked. Stokkan bet 14,000, and Shahin quickly called to see the {2-Hearts} land on the river.

"How much do you have left?" asked Shahin, but the question was somewhat mumbled.

"Huh?" questioned Stokkan.

"How much do you have left?" Shahin reiterated much clearer this time.

Stokkan moved his hands and began to count out his stack, which appeared to be around 75,000. Shahin slid out a tall stack of orange T5,000 chips to set Stokkan all in. After a minute or so in the tank, Stokkan asked, "You got a big hand over there?"

Shahin didn't respond, and after another bit of time, Stokkan folded. Shahin showed the {A-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for a flush, which means he did kneed have a big hand — the nuts.

Seed Spinning It Up

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 200 ante
Huck Seed
Huck Seed

Huck Seed had around 3,000 early on Day 2, but he's footing, and the former Main Event champion is currently sitting with more than 60 big blinds.

In a key recent pot, he bet into a couple of players on a {5-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} flop from early position and saw his 3,700 raised to 7,600 by the player on the button. Seed took his time before coming back with 15,700, and the player on the button quickly pushed all in.

"I think you got me," Seed said as he called off his stack of 33,800. His opponent turned over {a-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}.

"Oh, I got you."

Seed held {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades}, and the {2-Diamonds} and {2-Clubs} were no help to his opponent on the last two streets.

Yu Flops Quads to Double

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Ben Yu open-shipped all in for his last 16,200 and it folded around to the player on the button. He thought for about 30 seconds before flinging out a call. The blinds released their cards and the hands were turned over.

Yu: {A-Spades}{10-Spades}
Opponent: {8-Hearts}{7-Spades}

The dealer tapped the table and produced a flop that read {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}. The table reeled with gasps and a large smile washed across Yu's face as he realized that he flopped quad tens and was ensured a double up. The board finished off with the {Q-Spades} and the {K-Hearts}, allowing Yu to scoop up the chips and remain alive in the Main Event. He now has about 38,000.
