No Paint for Hoang

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

John Hoang was sitting on a big stack earlier today, but things went south for him quick. He got his last 118,000 all in preflop and found himself at risk against Jesse Wilke.

Wilke: {a-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}
Hoang: {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}

The {3-Spades}{6-Spades}{9-Spades} flop gave Wilke a pair, though it didn't change much as he had been ahead with his ace. Neither the {6-Clubs} turn nor {4-Diamonds} river helped Hoang, and he made the lonely walk to the payout desk.

Zaya Shows a Ten

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Ali Eslami checked to an opponent on a flop of {7-Hearts}{q-Spades}{4-Hearts}, and he tossed out 55,000. Andrey Zaichenko raised to 115,000, pushing out a tall stack of orange T5,000 chips, and Eslami tank-folded.

The third player considered the bet as well, but ultimately pushed his cards into the muck.

Zaichenko revealed the {10-Clubs}, and pulled in the pot.

Here are a few various chip counts.

Ochana Binks a Ten

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Shachar Regev was all in and at risk preflop for around 200,000 holding {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}, and he was in great shape to double through Eddie Ochana's {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}.

The {2-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} flop was pure, as was the {9-Hearts} on the turn, but the {10-Clubs} spiked on the river and Regev was suddenly eliminated.

Ochana chipped up to 460,000.

Stein Eliminated by Rasmussen

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Jeremy Stein shipped all in from the button for his last 80,000. Geoffrey Rasmussen called and the hands were turned on their backs.

Stein: {A-Spades}{J-Hearts}
Rasmussen: {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}

Stein needed help to stay alive and unfortunately did not find in on the {9-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} run out. His tournament came to an end while Rasmussen's stack increased to about 455,000.

Zaichenko Continues to Roll

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Andrey Zaichenko
Andrey Zaichenko

Mark Mitzel got his last 100,000 or so all in preflop and was racing against the red-hot Andrey Zaichenko.

Mitzel: {a-Spades}{q-Spades}
Zaichenko: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

Mitzel was looking for either an ace or queen, but instead the flop came down {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} to give Zaichenko a full house. Mitzel needed running cards to stay alive, and the {Q-Clubs} turn actually made it a possibility. Another lady on the river would keep him alive, but it wasn't meant to be as the {5-Hearts} blanked. Mitzel hit the rail in 497th place for $22,678.
