Rice Hits a Boiling River

Level 6 : 300/600, 0 ante

Jason Stockfish bet 1,500 from early position and got four callers to the flop of {3-Spades}{k-Clubs}{k-Spades}. Action checked to the turn which fell the {6-Clubs} and Christopher Rice bet 7,500 from the big blind position.

The preflop opponent that called from under the gun said "pot" and put out 30,000. Action folded back to Rice who called his remaining 25,875. Players tabled their cards as Rice showed {k-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} for flopped trips and his opponent tabled {k-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{5-Hearts} for a turned full house.

Rice would need to improve on the river and the {7-Diamonds} did exactly that as he made a bigger full house. Rice threw his hands in the air out of excitement and scooped in a big pot.

Fisher Scoops a Nice Pot

Level 6 : 300/600, 0 ante

Bradd Fisher opened from under the gun to 1,100 and had three callers. The flop came down {6-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{2-Spades} and action checked to Fisher who then bet 2,200.

His opponent to his left raised to 8,800 from early position and the small blind made the call, as well as Fisher. The turn came the {4-Hearts} and all three players checked to the {9-Diamonds} on the river.

The small blind opponent bet 11,000 and Fisher then moved all in for 11,400. Action folded back to the small blind opponent who called and players flipped over their hands.

Fisher tabled {7-Spades}{8-Spades}{8-Hearts}{6-Hearts} for a rivered straight and his opponent showed {3-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{4-Clubs} for a lower straight that he hit on the turn. Fisher took down the pot and accumulated a decent-sized stack in the process.

Heroux Takes Down His Opponent's Aces

Level 5 : 200/400, 0 ante
Maxime Heroux
Maxime Heroux

The board read {6-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{5-Spades} and the pot was 9,150 when the small-blind opponent bet pot. Maxime Heroux then moved all in for enough to cover his opponent. They tabled their hands.

Heroux showed {k-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} for a flopped two pair and his opponent tabled {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} for an overpair and straight draw. Heroux filled up on the turn when the {6-Spades} fell and his opponent failed to connect with the river which came the {k-Spades}.

Heroux took down the pot with his full house and is starting to stack chips up early on in this tournament.
