Early Boost for Thornbrugh

Level 1 : 25/50, 0 ante

There were four players in, the blinds and the cutoff and button.

The flop read {2-Hearts}{8-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{2-Spades} and Jon Thornbrugh had checked. The player on his left bet 700, which the two late position players called. Back on Thornbrugh, he bet pot, which was 4,625. This got one fold and two calls.

The river card was a {2-Spades} and Thornbrugh barreled 7,000 into the 16,550 pot. Both opponents passed and he gets off to a good start.

Straight for Hochman

Level 1 : 25/50, 0 ante

Two players were in on a {7-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} flop and there were 450 chips in the pot. Both players checked the flop and the dealer laid a {k-Hearts} on the turn. Corey Hochman led for 350 and his opponent called.

The {6-Diamonds} river paired the board and Hochman bet 300 this time, which was quickly called. Hochman turned over {5-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} for the straight and it was good enough to win the chips.
