O'Flaherty Stacks Flack

Level 24 : 30,000/60,000, 0 ante
Layne Flack
Layne Flack

A player in middle position raised, Andrew O'Flaherty called from the button, and Layne Flack called for 80,000 to put himself at risk from the big blind.

The flop came {Q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{2-Hearts} and the preflop raiser checked. O'Flaherty bet 300,000, the preflop raiser folded, and the two live players tabled their hands.

Andrew O'Flaherty: {J-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{8-Hearts}
Layne Flack: {10-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{4-Clubs}

O'Flaherty had the best of it with his flush and Flack stood up to make his exit. The {5-Clubs} turn and {6-Spades} river changed nothing and O'Flaherty took the pot as Flack began to make his way to the payout desk.

Balasubramanian Makes a Bigger Boat

Level 24 : 30,000/60,000, 0 ante

Brett Faustman was all in for just over 300,000 and Srinivas Balasubramanian challenged him in the preflop contest.

"I'll need help," Faustman said while rolling over {A-Spades}{Q-Spades}{7-Clubs}{7-Hearts}.

"No, you're good for now," Balasubramanian replied, turning up {A-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}. "I just need a ten," he added.

He would catch two of them on the {7-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} board which gave him tens full at the same time as Faustman made sevens full.

Faustman was headed for payouts while Balasubramanian now guards one of the biggest stack in the room.

Bailey Doubles, Then Busts

Level 24 : 30,000/60,000, 0 ante

Action folded around to the blinds and Srinivas Balasubramanian raised from the small. Mitchell Bailey called for 125,000 from the big to put himself at risk and the two players tabled their hands.

Srinivas Balasubramanian: {K-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{6-Clubs}
Mitchell Bailey: {A-Clubs}{9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}

Bailey had the preflop edge and only improved from there when the board ran out {A-Hearts}{J-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{J-Diamonds} so he took the pot with trip aces to double up. However, he was still short-stacked, and was spotted exiting the tournament area several minutes later.

Mizrachi Shows the Four of Diamonds

Level 24 : 30,000/60,000, 0 ante

Michael Mizrachi raised to 130,000 in the cutoff and Dzmitry Urbanovich flatted on the button.

The two big stacks went to the {2-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} flop where Mizrachi continued, betting 200,000. Urbanovich called.

The {J-Clubs} landed on the turn and Mizrachi asked the dealer how much was in the pot. The answer was 750,000 and Mizrachi cut out a bet of 500,000.

Urbanovich paused for a moment but then decided to give up. Mizrachi, in return, flipped the {4-Diamonds} and chuckled.

Herron Flops the Nut Flush

Level 24 : 30,000/60,000, 0 ante

Joon Park potted from early position and small blind Jason Mayer called for his last 120,000. Derrick Herron matched Park's bid and they battled for a side pot on the flop of {J-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}.

The action was fast as Herron checked to Park who moved all in and Herron snapped him off with {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{2-Spades} for the nut flush. Park showed {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{9-Spades} for a straight and Mayer opened {9-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{3-Spades}.

Herron needed to fade running cards and the was able to, taking a further 430,000 from Park while Mayer busted just before the first break.
