Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 1,500 ante
Ismael Bojang
Ismael Bojang

Hold'em

Connor Berkowitz raised it up from middle position and Ismael Bojang defended from the big blind. The flop came {q-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} and Bojang check-called a bet from Berkowitz.

Both players checked the {5-Diamonds} on the turn and then Bojang bet when the {7-Hearts} hit the river. Berkowitz called and Bojang tabled {q-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} for two pair to take the pot, leaving Berkowitz with around 15,000 chips.

In the next hand, Berkowitz raised again and Bojang re-raised, enough to put Berkowitz to the test for his remaining chips. Bojang flipped over {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds} against the {k-Hearts}{j-Clubs} of Berkowitz. The board ran out {q-Spades}{8-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{9-Spades} and Bojang's pocket aces held on for the elimination.

Kate Hoang
Kate Hoang

Omaha Hi-Lo

Kate Hoang was all in for her remaining chips on a flop of {7-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{k-Spades} and Jose Arenstein called. Players then revealed their hands with Hoang at risk.

Jose Arenstein: {k-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{a-Spades}
Kate Hoang: {j-Clubs}{8-Spades}{q-Clubs}{q-Spades}

Arenstein was ahead with his three kings and Hoang would need some help. The {10-Spades} on the turn and {j-Diamonds} on the river changed nothing and Arenstein took down the pot, eliminating Hoang.

Phamolivo Lucky on the River

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Hold'em

The table change has been rough for both remaining short stacks and the two players would end up battling it out in the following hand.

Jason Phamolivo opened from the hijack and Thomas Chung called from the button. The flop came down {4-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{2-Spades} and Phamolivo check-raised Chung's bet. Chung called and the turn came the {9-Diamonds}.

Phamolivo moved all in and Chung quickly called, players then revealed their hands. Phamolivo tabled {a-Clubs}{2-Clubs} for bottom pair and Chung showed {a-Spades}{4-Spades} for a higher pair. Phamolivo was fortunate enough to hit a {2-Hearts} on the river for trips to take down the pot, leaving Chung with crumbs.
