Moscati Loses Flip to Graham

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

The stack of Vicent Moscati was already in the middle from the button for what appeared to be 115,000 and Luke Graham looked him up out of the big blind.

Moscati had a flip with the {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} and faced the {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds} of Graham. The board came {K-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{3-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}, providing no help for Moscati, and he was eliminated in 73rd place.

One More Pot for Calamusa

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

The player on the button opened to 7,000 and Pierre Calamusa in big blind raised it to 24,000. The initial raiser made the call.

The flop fell {9-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{2-Spades} and Calamusa continued for 18,000, receiving a call once again. Both players checked on the {7-Hearts} turn. A {9-Diamonds} appeared on the river and Calamusa moved all in, putting his opponent at risk for his tournament.

After a long tank, Calamusa called for the time and his opponent ended up folding his hand.

Petrov Doubles to Leave Jacobson Short

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Yordan Petrov raised from under the gun and Martin Jacobson called on the button before the big blind also came along. Petrov continued for 8,500 on the {q-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} flop, and only Jacobson called.

Petrov fired again on the {9-Hearts} turn for 25,000, and the Swede once again made the call.

There was now 85,000 in the pot, and Petrov thought through his next move for a few minutes before announcing all in for 59,000 after the {4-Spades} had fallen. Jacobson had him covered and allowed himself some thinking time before making the call.

Yordan Petrov: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}
Martin Jacobson: {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

Both players had a pair of aces but Petrov's king kicker played, and he doubled up to 240,000.

Just a few hands later, Jacobson would be left even shorter after he called Clifford Pappas' button all in from the small blind.

Jacobson: {k-Hearts}{10-Spades}
Clifford Pappas: {a-Spades}{7-Clubs}

Board: {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{j-Hearts}

Jacobson missed the board, and the 2014 Main Event Champion was left with just 25,000 to play with after the dinner break.

Franklin KO'd By Stewart

Level 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Ryan Franklin moved all in after the action had folded to him in the cutoff and Scott Stewart called from the blinds.

Ryan Franklin: {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}
Scott Stewart: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}

Board: {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{q-Spades}{7-Clubs}

Stewart had Franklin in all kinds of trouble with pocket aces and hit a set on flop before a turned queen cemented Franklin's fate and a trip to the payout desk just minutes after returning from the dinner break.
