Day 3 of Event #18: $10,000 Dealer's Choice 6-Handed began with 13 players remaining from the starting field of 111 players. After ten levels of action, just three players remain in contention for the $293,275 first-place prize and the World Series of Poker bracelet.

Adam Friedman leads the way with 3,075,000, Alexey Makarov is second in chips with 1,325,000 and Stuart Rutter is the shortest stack with 1,145,000.

Heading into Day 4, the final table will resume on the second hand of Big O with Stuart Rutter choosing the next game.

Note: The limits when play resumes on Day 4 will be 120,000/240,000.

Friedman's rise to the top of the chip counts didn't come easy. Before the final table was reached, he found himself as the short stack at his table multiple times. Fortunately for him, he doubled up through Nikolai Yakovenko three times in three different games (Badeucey, No-Limit Hold'em, and Big O). Shortly after the third of those double ups, he quartered Yakovenko in another all-in situation. From there, Friedman made the final table with a comfortable stack but became short once again. However, he rode a heater to the top of the counts and will begin Day 4 in pole position on his fourth WSOP bracelet attempt.

Chris Klodnicki (4th - $90,713), David "ODB" Baker (5th - $65,308) and Marco Johnson (6th- $45,579) were the ones who made the final table and failed to survive the day as Friedman busted them all. The aforementioned Yakovenko was eliminated in seventh place for $35,082, and he was also eliminated by Friedman. Start-of-day chip leader Anthony Zinno busted in eighth place for the same amount.

Other eliminations today include Ryan Miller (9th - $26,184), Jesse Martin (10th - $26,184), Dylan Linde (11th - $19,784), Joey Couden (12th - $19,784) and Aditya Prasetyo (13th - $15,136).

Play resumes on Sunday at 2 p.m. and will continue until a winner emerges. PokerNews will be on hand to provide live updates on the action as the quest to crown the next WSOP bracelet winner concludes.

2-7 Triple Draw

Adam Friedman raised to 200,000 from the small blind and Chris Klodnicki called in the big blind as both players drew two.

Friedman bet and Klodnicki called as both players drew one. Friedman bet 200,000 and Klodnicki went into the tank before calling all in for exactly 200,000.

Friedman drew one, and Klodnicki stood pat.

Klodnicki: {Q-}{8-}{6-}{5-}{4-}
Friedman: {8-}{7-}{3-}{2-}

With Friedman squeezing, he found the {J-} to make a jack-eight low and Klodnicki was eliminated in 4th place for a $90,713 payday.

Stud Hi-Lo

David Baker found himself all in on third street against Adam Friedman as each player's boards ran out as follows:

Baker: {3-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} / {6-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{6-Hearts} / {3-Spades}
Friedman: {7-Hearts}{4-Hearts} / {7-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{A-Clubs}{9-Spades} / {J-Spades}

With Friedman immediately ripping trips, Baker would be unable to improve on his low draw and instead make sixes-up and was eliminated in 5th place for a $65,308 payday.

2-7 Triple Draw

From the small blind, Adam Friedman raised to 160,000 and Chris Klodnicki called in the big blind.

Friedman drew one and Klodnicki drew two. Friedman bet, and Klodnicki called as the same draw was repeated.

Friedman bet 160,000 and Klodnicki raised all in for his last 295,000 and Friedman called and wrapped pat. Klodnicki deliberated for a while before he eventually decided to draw two.

Friedman: {10-}{9-}{7-}{6-}{4-}
Klodnicki: {6-}{4-}{3-}

Klodnicki announced that he broke a ten-nine, and if he didn't, he would have doubled.

Klodnicki revealed his first card; the {5-}, and then his second; the {9-}, and made a nine-six to double through Friedman.

Friedman's Turn to Take the Chip Lead

Omaha

From the button, Adam Friedman raised and Alexey Makarov called in the big blind.

The flop landed {4-Clubs}{7-Spades}{A-Clubs} and both players checked.

The turn fell the {K-Spades} and Makarov checked again over to Friedman who bet 120,000. Makarov check-raised to 240,000, and Friedman called.

The river fell the {A-Diamonds}, and Makarov bet and Friedman called.

Makarov tabled his {A-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{6-Spades} for trip aces, but it would be Friedman's {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{4-Spades} for kings-full that would earn him the pot, and the chip lead.

Omaha

From under the gun, Chris Klodnicki raised to 120,000 and Alexey Makarov called next to act in the cutoff.

The flop landed {2-Spades}{3-Clubs}{3-Spades} and Klodnicki checked to Makarov who bet 60,000. Klodnicki called, and then checked the {J-Spades} on the turn.

Makarov bet 120,000 and Klodnicki called as the river landed the {10-Spades}.

Klodnicki checked, Makarov bet 120,000, and Klodnicki check-raised to 240,000.

Makarov wasn't having any of that dessert, and he made it three bets to go and 360,000.

Klodnicki responded with a fold, and once Makarov scooped in and stacked the pot, he would now be perched on top of the leaderboard.

Badeucey

From the button, David Baker limped and Adam Friedman called. Chris Klodnicki raised from the big blind to 100,000 before Baker made it three bets to go.

Friedman folded, and Klodnicki re-raised before Baker was all in for his last 214,000 against Klodnicki.

Klodnicki drew two as Baker stood pat, before both players stood pat on the final two draws.

Baker fanned his {7-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{4-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} for a seven-low and a six-dugi, and Klodnicki showed his {8-Spades}{7-Hearts}{5-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} for a eight-low and a seven-dugi.

Big O

From middle position, Nikolai Yakovenko raised to 70,000 and Adam Friedman called in the cutoff.

The flop landed {7-Hearts}{9-Spades}{2-Hearts} and Yakovenko announced a bet of pot before Friedman re-potted. Yakovenko called all in for roughly 320,000, and the cards were tabled.

Nikolai Yakovenko: {A-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{3-Clubs}
Adam Friedman: {A-Hearts}{4-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}

The turn of the {7-Spades} improved Friedman to a full house, and the {3-Spades} completed the board on the river, Friedman would make the nut low to eliminate Yakovenko 7th place for a $35,082 payday.
