Anthony Zinno Leads Final 13 Heading Into Day 3 of $10,000 Dealer's Choice

Welcome back to the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino and the 2018 World Series of Poker (WSOP) for Day 3 of the Event #18: $10,000 Dealer's Choice!

The second-biggest Dealer's Choice field of 111 began their quest to become the next WSOP champion two days ago, and now just 13 players remain heading into the final day of play.

Day 2 was moving day as eight players took a late seat in the event, and once the cards hit the air, a rapid fire of eliminations followed. Eventually however, it would be Canada's Shawn Buchanan becoming the tournament bubble boy when his split aces couldn't improve against rolled up tens in stud hi-lo.

With the remaining 17 players in the money, play would slow down as players refrained from picking the high variance games and split-pot limit games would become the norm. Timothy Batow (17th), Lawrence Berg (16th), Mikko Hirvonen (15th), and Bryce Yockey (14th) all collected $15,136 for their efforts, and the remaining players are just one elimination away from a pay jump and a two-table redraw.

Leading those players is WSOP bracelet winner Anthony Zinno who roared up the chip counts in the last few levels to bag an impressive 922,000. Sitting right on his heels is Adam Friedman who slowly built upon his second place overall on Day 1 to end with 735,500. Russia's Alexey Makarov (709,500), Chris Klodnicki (560,000), Joey Couden (536,000), David "ODB" Baker (498,000), and Marco Johnson (450,000) are the only other players with more then average in chips.

Players are currently guaranteed $15,136, while $47,579 awaits those that make the six-handed final table. For whoever can topple this incredibly skilled field, a $293,275 first prize awaits along with the coveted WSOP gold bracelet, and title of Event #18 Champion.

Play is set to resume across the three feature tables on the main stage of the Amazon room at 2 p.m. PDT. The PokerNews Live Reporting Team will be on hand to provide continuous live updates of all the Day 3 action. So stay tuned right here to PokerNews.com as we write the path of the next WSOP Champion!
