At 5 p.m. local time, cards will be in the air for Day 1, Flight B of Event #19: $565 Pot Limit Omaha at the 2018 World Series of Poker.
Every entrant will receive 5,000 starting chips and will have 18 thirty-minute levels to try to accumulate as many more as they can before bagging their stacks at the end of the night. Late registration will be open through the end of Level 8 at approximately 9:20 p.m. and there will be a 20-minute break every four levels.

The combined Day 1A-B surviving players will return tomorrow to play Day 2 at 2 p.m.

Last year in this event, Tyler Smith triumphed over 3,186 entrants, the largest field in the history of live PLO tournaments, to win his first gold bracelet and $244,344. This event is expected to draw well once again, as each of the previous two years has been record-setting for PLO tournaments.

With unlimited re-entry available and a 5,000-chip stack to begin, it's expected that many players will be firing multiple bullets in this event as they chase the gold bracelet.

Smith Sends One to the Rail

Level 3 : 50/100, 0 ante

A player in early position raised to 300 and Matthew Smith called in middle position. The hi-jack called and they went three handed to the {q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} flop and the early position player bet 1,150.

Smith called and the hi-jack player folded. They went heads up to the {9-Hearts} turn and the player moved his remaining stack of 2,950 all in. Smith snap called and his opponent asked "do you have a full house." Sure enough Smith tabled {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{k-Spades} for queens full of tens.

His opponent was drawing dead holding {j-Spades}{9-Clubs}{8-Spades}{3-Clubs} for a turned straight. The meaningless {k-Hearts} hit the river and Smith scored the knockout.
