Gross Gone

Level 19 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Jeff Gross
Jeff Gross

Jeff Gross just informed the PokerNews Live Reporting team that he busted moments ago.

According to Gross, a player limped from early position, the small blind completed, and Gross looked down at {10-}{10-} in the big blind. He shoved for 56,000, the limper called to put him at risk, and the small blind folded.

Gross's opponent held {Q-}{10-} and took the lead on the {Q-}{7-}{4-} flop, leaving Gross drawing extremely thin. The {J-} turn and {8-} river changed nothing and Gross made his way to the cage.

Calderaro Lays It Down

Level 19 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

There were about 80,000 chips in the middle and the board read {10-Spades}{8-Hearts}{3-Spades}{6-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} when we got to the table. Bracelet winner James Calderaro had bet 55,000 from the big blind, sending his opponent in middle position into the tank. He ultimately raised to 130,000, and after brief consideration, Calderaro tossed his hand into the muck.

Ilani Straightens One Out

Level 19 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Ran Ilani raised to 14,000 from the cutoff and the player on the button moved all in for 40,000. Ilani called showing {a-Diamonds}{7-Spades} and the button turned over {k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}.

The board ran out {j-Spades}{5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{2-Hearts} and Ilani improved to a straight to eliminate his opponent.

Cheong Fires the Turn

Level 19 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Joseph Cheong
Joseph Cheong

Kevin Gerhart opened to 13,000 from middle position, Joseph Cheong was next to act and called, and the hijack three-bet to 40,000. Gerhart called and Cheong called, as well.

The flop came {Q-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{2-Spades} and all three players checked.

The {5-Clubs} fell on the turn and Gerhart checked. Cheong bet 45,000, sending the hijack into the tank. He folded after about 30 seconds, Gerhart did the same shortly thereafter, and Cheong took the pot.

Chitser Flops an Ace

Level 19 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

It folded to Chan Chitser in the small blind and he raised to 18,000. The big blind moved all in and Chitser snap called for 126,000 turning over {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}. The big blind showed {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} and it was a classic coin flip with Chitser at risk.

Chitser paired his ace in the window on the {a-Spades}{6-Hearts}{2-Spades} flop to take the lead. The turn {7-Clubs} and river {5-Hearts} were no help to the big blind and Chitser doubled his stack.

Soverel Takes One

Level 19 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Sam Soverel was on the button and heads-up against the hijack on a {10-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} flop. The hijack checked and Soverel bet 20,000 into the existing pot of approximately 60,000. The hijack called.

The turn brought the {7-Spades} and the hijack checked. Soverel bet again, 55,000, this time, his opponent folded, and he took the pot.
