Bianchi Bluffs It Off

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

There was a massive pot of about 130,000 already brewing and the board read {K-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{7-Spades}{Q-Spades}{2-Spades} when we got to the table. Chase Bianchi had shoved from the big blind for 101,000 and Jason Daly, his lone opponent in the cutoff, was deep in the tank. The clock was called and as tournament staff was counting down the final seconds, Daly called with a covering stack. Bianchi tabled {A-Spades}{3-Clubs} and Daly showed {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} to take the pot with second pair.

Tuan Le raised to 7,000 from the hijack and the player on the button called. They went heads up to the {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}{9-Clubs} flop and Le continued with a bet of 6,000. His opponent called and the turn was the {3-Hearts}.

Le fired out a bet of 8,000 and his opponent called. The river was the {7-Spades} and Le fired a third bullet, betting 17,500. The player on the button tanked for nearly two minutes and eventually called. Le showed {k-Hearts}{9-Spades} for jacks and nines and his opponent mucked his hand.

Jaka Felted

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante
Faraz Jaka
Faraz Jaka

Matthias Eibinger raised to 6,500 from under the gun and Faraz Jaka three-bet shoved from the big blind for 49,200. After some consideration, Eibinger called to put Jaka at risk.

Matthias Eibinger: {5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}
Faraz Jaka: {A-Spades}{K-Spades}

Jaka was racing for his tournament life and needed to improve in order to double up. The board ran out {Q-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{A-Hearts}{9-Spades}, which paired Jaka's ace but also gave Eibinger a set of fives, so Eibinger took the pot to send Jaka to the cage.

Rogowski Doubles Through Nahum

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

The player in the cutoff raised and Andy Rogowski reraised from the small blind. With the action on Kfir Nahum in the big blind, he moved all in, covering both players. The cutoff folded and Rogowski snap-called for his last 103,700.

Nahum showed {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} but was dominated by the {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts} of Rogowski. The board ran out clean for Rogowski with {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}{9-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}, and he let out a fist pump on the river as he doubled through Nahum.

Ralph Massey
Ralph Massey

Ralph Massey raised to 7,000 from under the gun and the player on the button called. They went heads up to the {q-Spades}{7-Spades}{5-Diamonds} flop and Massey continued with a bet of 10,000. His opponent called and the turn was the {10-Diamonds}.

Massey moved all in for 68,300, sending his opponent deep into the tank. The player began talking through the hand: "Ace-jack or maybe you have ace-king," he said quietly. He eventually made the call, turning over {k-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} for top pair and Massey showed {a-Spades}{10-Spades} for middle pair and the nut flush draw.

The {10-Diamonds} hit the river and Massey improved to trip tens to double up.

Top Pair is Enough for Lee

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

It folded to Stanley Lee in the small blind and he limped in. The big blind checked and they went heads up to the {k-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{8-Clubs} flop. Lee led out with a bet of 5,500 and the big blind called. Both players checked the {7-Hearts} turn and the {6-Spades} river. Lee turned over {k-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} and his top pair was enough to take the pot.
