Ruzicka in Action

Level 5 : 250/500, 75 ante

Vojtech Ruzicka entered the Marathon field at the start of level 4 and has already won a sizeable pot.

There was a raise to 1,200 from middle position and a flat from the button before Ruzicka three-bet to 4,850. Only the initial raiser called and they were heads-up to a flop of {a-Spades}{8-Clubs}{4-Hearts}. Both players checked, and the action mirrored on the {5-Hearts} turn before Ruzicka bet 3,400 on the {j-Spades} river.

'Did I let your jack get there?' he said, before making the call.

Ruzicka tabled {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades}, and his opponent mucked.

Hof Gives Up

Level 5 : 250/500, 75 ante

Natalie Hof was involved in a hand that went four-way to the flop.

The flop of {5-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{Q-Spades} was checked to Hof who bet out 1,825 and only got called by the player on the button, the other two players in the hand folded.

Hof checked-folded on the {7-Diamonds} turn and was left with 22,000.

Right now they're starting to break up tables in the Pavillion room because more people are busting out than entering the tournament at this point.

Sam Cohen

The action was opened from middle position with a raise to 1,200 and the cutoff player called before Samantha Cohen three-bet to 3,600 from the button. Both her opponents made the call, and the flop came down {4-Spades}{10-Clubs}{6-Hearts}.

The action checked through to the {q-Spades} turn and Cohen called a bet of 5,500 after the cutoff player had folded.

When the {10-Spades} hit the river, Cohen saw her opponent move all in and she snap-called.

Samantha Cohen: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}
Opponent: {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}

It was runner-runner nut flush for Cohen and two pair for her opponent who was covered and ultimately sent to the rail.

Big Stack Metaal Shows Strength

Level 5 : 250/500, 75 ante

Govert Metaal had about 120,000 in front of him before the last hand. He saw a player open to 1,300 and when it folded to his right neighbor, Mike Del Vecchio, he put in a three-bet to 3,600 and it was up to Metaal in the small blind to decide what to do.

After a minute Metaal made it a little more than 8,000 and every player in the hand quickly folded.

Mike Del Vecchio showed {A-Spades}{2-Spades} to Metaal and he returned the favor by showing {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}.

Victor Ramdin
Victor Ramdin

Victor Ramdin limped under the gun and it folded around to the small blind Joey Weissman. He decided to raise it to 2,500 and the player in the big blind folded. The action was back on Ramdin and he three-bet to 6,100. Weissman called.

The flop was {10-Spades}{A-Spades}{2-Clubs} and both players checked. Weissman check-called a bet of 5,700 on the {9-Diamonds} turn.

Weissman checked again on the {2-Spades} river and this time Ramdin fired out 20,000. Weissman thought about it for a couple of minutes and he eventually called to see Ramdin holding {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs}.
