"What a Waste" for Benson

Level 4 : 200/400, 0 ante

We found Gary Benson putting a shorter-stacked player at risk on sixth street, with Benson holding {7-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{j-Clubs} and up against a pair of tens. Benson already had a lock on the low but he nailed a flush for the high when he got the {a-Diamonds} on the river.

"What a waste against a short stack," Craig Chait said with a laugh.

Jerry Wong Takes Half of a Big Pot

Level 3 : 200/400, 0 ante

Jerry Wong: {x-}{x-}/{A-Spades}{10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{2-Spades}/{x-}
Player 1: {x-}{x-}/{7-Hearts}{J-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{7-Spades}/{x-}
Player 2: {x-}{x-}/{5-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{8-Spades}/{x-}
Player 3: {x-}{x-}/{J-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{A-Hearts} - folded on sixth
Player 4: {x-}{x-}/{5-Hearts}{4-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}/{x-}

In a doozy of a five-way hand, five different players committed 800 chips on third street. On fourth street, the player who was showing the {7-Diamonds} bet when checked to, and all four players called. Wong picked up the betting lead on fifth street and he led out with his pair of tens. Once again, all four players called.

On sixth street, Wong continued with a bet. He was called once before the player showing {5-Hearts}{4-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} raised. Three players called including Wong, while one folded.

On seventh street, all four players checked. Wong showed {A-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{4-Clubs} for two pair while the player who raised him showed {8-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{5-Clubs} for a low. Those two would chop up the big pot while the other players checked. Wong collected half the pot and chipped up to over 10,000 chips.

Bohn Sinking

Level 3 : 200/400, 0 ante

Ernest Bohn got to seventh street showing an open pair of queens and bet into two opponents, only to get raised by the player on his left.

Bohn: {x-}{x-}/{5-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{q-Clubs}/{x-}
Opponent: {x-}{x-}/{9-Clubs}{8-Spades}{3-Hearts}{a-Clubs}/{x-}

The third player mucked and Bohn called the raise, but he immediately mucked his own holding when shown {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for a flush.

Some for Filippi

Level 3 : 200/400, 0 ante

Amnon Filippi: {x-}{x-}/{6-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{J-Spades}{5-Hearts}/{x-}
Opponent 1: {x-}{x-}/{5-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}/{x-}
Opponent 2: {x-}{x-}/{K-Spades}{8-Clubs}{4-Clubs} - folded on fifth

Action checked to the player showing {5-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} on fifth street which prompted one call from Amnon Filippi while the other player folded. Filippi's opponent bet on sixth as well and Filippi called again. Both players checked on seventh.

"Nines," Filippi said, showing {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}{4-Hearts}. His opponent shook his head, revealed {A-}{5-}, then mucked his hand along with his third down card, so Filippi collected the pot.

Kurtzman and Woods Chop Champbell's Money

Level 3 : 200/400, 0 ante

Eric Kurtzman picked up a strong board of {3-Clubs}{5-Spades}{4-Spades} and bet fifth, sixth, and seventh into opponents James Woods and Robert Campbell.

Kurtzman: {x-}{x-}/{3-Clubs}{5-Spades}{4-Spades}{q-Hearts}/{x-}
Campbell: {x-}{x-}/{7-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}/{x-}
Woods: {x-}{x-}/{2-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{8-Spades}{5-Diamonds}/{x-}

Campbell mucked but Woods decided to see showdown.

"I think you have a wheel, but I'm gonna call," he said.

"No wheel," Kurtzman said, tabling {3-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{10-Clubs}. "Just a set of threes."

Woods got half with {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{j-Clubs} for an eight low.
