Hennigan and Salem Pull Away

Level 28 : 60,000/120,000, 0 ante

Omaha Hi-Lo

Iraj Parvizi scooped a pot without showdown after forcing a fold on a {A-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} flop and then called a raise by David "Bakes" Baker while in the big blind, Lee Salem was also in from the small blind. The flop fell {10-Clubs}{8-Spades}{4-Diamonds} and Baker's continuation bet was check-called by both players in the blinds. On the {2-Hearts} turn the same action repeated and the {8-Diamonds} fell on the river. Salem checked, Parvizi bet and two calls followed.

Baker took the low with {A-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}, Parvizi the high with {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{8-Clubs}.

Hennigan raised and Parvizi called in the small blind, Baker in the big blind. The flop came {9-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{2-Clubs} and action checked to Hennigan, who bet and was called two ways. Once again the same action took place on the {3-Clubs} turn and the {9-Hearts} river was bet by Baker. Hennigan called, Parvizi folded. Baker had the nut low with {A-Spades}{6-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{3-Hearts} and Hennigan a flush with {J-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{8-Spades}{6-Spades}.

Two more hands of Omaha Hi-Lo followed. Salem raised, Hennigan called in the big blind. On the {10-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{4-Diamonds} flop, Hennigan check-called and bet the {K-Diamonds} turn, Salem raised and was snap-called. On the {4-Clubs} river, Hennigan check-called a bet and mucked when he was shown {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} for the nut flush by Salem.

Parvizi then raised and Baker called, as did Hennigan. The flop came {J-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{5-Spades} and action checked to Baker, who bet. Hennigan raised to force out Parvizi and Baker made it three bets to receive a call. On the {4-Hearts} turn both players checked and Hennigan's bet on the {6-Clubs} river was called. Hennigan rolled over {10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{2-Hearts} for a straight to the six and scooped the pot.

As a result, Hennigan and Salem sit comfortably at the top of the counts while Parvizi and Baker are the distant short stacks.
