Richards Shoves the Turn

Level 2 : 50/100, 0 ante

Nicholas Richards opened to 300 from under the gun and Timothy McDermott called from the cutoff. Tony Dunst called from the big blind as well and the flop then fell {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{3-Clubs}. Dunst checked to Richards who then bet 400 and McDermott made the call.

Dunst folded and the turn came the {8-Hearts}. Action checked to McDermott who bet 600 into the pot and Richards quickly moved all in for approximately 3,300. McDermott thought for a few moments before making the fold as Richards picked up a pot and started climbing back up towards starting stack.

Mercier Shot Down by Baumgartner

Level 2 : 50/100, 0 ante
Natasha Mercier
Natasha Mercier

On Table 10, Jacob Baumgartner raised to 300 from the under-the-gun position and was only called by Natasha Mercier in the big blind.

The flop came {3-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{10-Hearts} and Mercier checked. Baumgartner bet 400, Mercier raised to 1,200, then Baumgartner reraised to 4,000. Mercier shoved and Baumgartner snap-called with the slightly bigger stack.

Natasha Mercier: {A-Clubs}{9-Clubs}
Jacob Baumgartner: {3-Spades}{3-Diamonds}

Mercier was hoping for another club for her flush to complete as Baumgartner had flopped a set of treys. The rest of the board was completed with the {A-Spades} on the turn and the {2-Spades} on the river to take Mercier out of the shootout.

Shortly after, on the same table, Joe Cada eliminated Brandon Butler from the tournament.
