Welcome to Day 2 of Event #32: $1,000 Seniors No-Limit Hold'em Championship

Day 2 of Event #32: $1,000 Seniors No-Limit Hold'em Championship begins at 11 a.m and 934 players will return to the felt to battle it out for the victory and the first-place prize of $662,983. The prize pool is a massive $5,327,100 and a total of 888 players will be guaranteed to be in the money and earn a minimum cash prize of $1,500.

This event is record-breaking on many levels as an astonishing total of 5,919 players joined the tables. The $5,000,000 mark has been crossed for the first time in the event's history, becoming also the largest single Day 1 event in WSOP history.

Kevin O’Donnell finds himself in the top spot with a staggering 171,100 in chips.

Many other notables remain in the field including Main Event Champion Scotty Nguyen (92,400), Neil Blumenfield (134,000), Mitchell Garshofsky (73,300), Carol Fuchs (36,800), and Jan-Peter Jachtmann (57,200). 2017 Champion Frank Maggio (23,300) is still fighting it out as well.

When play resumes, players will play 10 more 60-minute levels with a 15-minute break every two levels. Dinner break will take place after today's sixth level, around 5:30 p.m., and will be one hour long. Play will resume with Level 11 where the blinds are 500/1,000 with a 100 ante.
