Williamson Scores a Knockout

Level 18 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

There was an all-in and a call before the action folded to Mark Williamson on the button who decided to re-shove, and the player who made the initial call folded his hand.

Mark Williamson: {k-Hearts}{k-Spades}
Opponent: {a-Spades}{9-Spades}

Board: {a-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{4-Hearts}

The all-hearts board fell to give Williamson the nut flush and propel his stack to 215,000 as his opponent departed from the Seniors Championship field.

Roller Coaster for Kite

Level 18 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Walan Kite open-shoved for 43,000 with {k-Clubs}{j-Spades} and faced a player holding {8-}{8-}. He found a board of {9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} to give him a straight and the double-up.

A few hands later, on a board of {10-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}, he was holding {9-Spades}{9-Hearts} and had called Eric Lavene all in for 67,000. The latter, with {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}, had the winning hand and made the double.

Kite was left with a stack worth 32,000 after the hands.

Nelson Takes Nguyen's Scalp

Level 18 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Scotty Nguyen
Scotty Nguyen

After having an up-and-down last couple of levels, former WSOP Main Event Champion Scotty Nguyen has finally seen his Seniors Event Championship run come to an end.

Nguyen raised from the cutoff and James 'Jim' Nelson moved all in from the button. Nguyen obliged with a call, and they were off to the races.

Scotty Nguyen: {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
James Nelson: {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}

Board: {q-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}

A pair of jacks for Nelson on the flop was enough for him to win the pot and signal an end to Nguyen's deep run.

House-Over-House Win For Berry

Level 18 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

The completed board was down and read {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{3-Spades} when Frank Berry called an all-in. The hands were turned on their backs and there was a gasp from the table.

Frank Berry: {j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}
Opponent: {3-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}

Berry flopped a full house, jacks full of eights, and his opponent also hit a full house on the river, but it was not enough to take the pot, and Berry received a full double-up to 370,000.
