Ivey Doubles Last Hand Before Break

Level 20 : 60,000/120,000, 0 ante
Phil Ivey
Phil Ivey

Stud Hi-Lo

Phil Ivey completed with the {j-Clubs} and Dan Smith raised with the {5-Diamonds}. Smith paired and bet fourth then picked up trips, but Ivey paired his jack and moved in for his last 85,000 on fifth.

Ivey: {j-Spades}{6-Spades}/{j-Clubs}{8-Spades}{j-Diamonds}
Smith: {a-Spades}{3-Spades}/{5-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{5-Hearts}

Ivey had the best of it and filled up with the {8-Clubs} while Smith caught a brick with the {10-Clubs}. Ivey didn't improve when he got the {9-Hearts} but he only needed to fade one card and the {k-Spades} wasn't it. Stay tuned for chip counts momentarily.

Nine Smooth for Katz

Level 21 : 80,000/160,000, 0 ante

2-7 Triple Draw

Phil Ivey raised under the gun to 160,000 and John Hennigan called in the small blind, as did Aaron Katz in the big blind.

Hennigan and Ivey drew two, as Katz drew one. Hennigan checked, Katz bet 80,000, and both Ivey and Hennigan called.

The same draw was repeated, and after another Hennigan check, Katz bet 160,000. Ivey called, and Hennigan folded.

Katz stood pat, Ivey drew two, and both players checked.

Ivey showed {K-}{K-} for a pair, and Katz fanned his {9-}{5-}{4-}{3-}{2-} for a nine-smooth to collect the pot.

2-7 Triple Draw

Greg Mueller raised from the cutoff and Phil Ivey called from the big blind. Ivey then took two and Mueller took two as well.

Ivey then moved all in for 45,000 and Mueller called quickly.

Ivey took one card while Mueller pulled two. Both players stood pat on the final draw. Ivey revealed his {9-}{8-}{6-}{5-}{4-} but it was no good at Mueller pulled {7-}{6-}{4-}{3-}{2-}. That would send Ivey to the rail to collect $111,447 for his ninth-place finish.

Leah Pays Rast on Three Streets

Level 21 : 80,000/160,000, 0 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

Four players saw a {5-Spades}{k-Spades}{k-Diamonds} flop for the minimum and the blinds checked to Brian Rast, who bet 85,000. Mike Leah called from the small blind and it went heads up to the {8-Spades} turn. Leah check-called 270,000. On the {j-Hearts} river, the Canadian checked a final time. Rast slid in 625,000. Leah thought about a minute and flicked in a call.

Rast showed {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{7-Clubs} for kings full on the flop. Leah flashed {q-Spades}{10-Spades}.
