Hanson Doubles Up

Level 19 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante
Bart Hanson
Bart Hanson

Big-O

Bart Hanson was very short with just 9,500 in front of him, barely more than the start stack of the tournament. He did manage to double up through Georgii Belianin. Hanson pushed all in for his remaining 9,500 and Belianin called from the big blind.

Georgii Belianin: {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}{8-Spades}{6-Hearts}{5-Hearts}
Bart Hanson: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{3-Clubs}

The board ended up being {A-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{3-Spades} and Hanson managed to double up.

Miaso Barrels Every Street

Level 19 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante
Kyle Miaso
Kyle Miaso

Omaha-8

The action folded to Kyle Miaso who raised it up from the cutoff. Cameron Mitchell defended from the big blind and the flop came {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{6-Hearts}. Mitchell checked to Miaso who continued with a bet and Mitchell called.

The turn brought the {2-Diamonds} and Mitchell quickly checked again. Miaso slid in another bet and Mitchell stuck around to see the {q-Diamonds} on the river. Mitchell checked for the third time and Miaso fired one more time. Mitchell took his time to make a decision this time, thinking for at least a minute and then eventually called.

Miaso tabled {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} for the nut flush and an eight low, which was good enough to scoop the pot.

Po Eliminated

Level 19 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante

PLO-8

Kenneth Po was holding on to his short stack but he finally decided to give it a go. He raised to 10,500 with just 8,000 behind. Georgii Belianin called from the big blind and they saw a flop.

The final chips of Po did go in on the {4-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} flop and both opened up their hands.

Kenneth Po: {A-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{7-Spades}{5-Spades}
Georgii Bellianin: {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}

The board ran out with the {4-Clubs} turn and {J-Spades} river and Po got eliminated.

Mizrachi Spikes a One-Outer to Scoop

Level 19 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante
Robert Mizrachi
Robert Mizrachi

Big-O

It is unsure as to whether all of the money got in the middle preflop or on the flop, but either way, it was an epic finish to the hand. The flop read {4-Spades}{3-Hearts}{3-Clubs} and Robert Mizrachi was the player at risk for 122,500. He was up against Jeffrey Landherr who flopped a full house with {a-}{8-}{4-}{3-}{2-}. Mizrachi tabled {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} and was all but drawing dead for the high portion.

The dealer burned and turned the {a-Diamonds} and Mizrachi spiked the single card that would allow him to scoop. The {10-Clubs} on the river changed nothing and not only was Mizrachi's full house better than Landherr's, his seven-low ensured he would scoop the entire pot and double his stack.

Hellmuth Lays Down the Flopped Nuts

Level 18 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante
Phil Hellmuth
Phil Hellmuth

Big-O

The action folded around to the button who just limped in and Phil Hellmuth called from the small blind. Jon Turner checked his option and the flop came {6-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}. Hellmuth and Turner both checked and the button fired out a bet of 5,000. Hellmuth called and Turner tagged along as well.

The turn brought the {6-Spades} and the action checked around to the {5-Spades} on the river. Hellmuth checked one more time and Turner tossed in a bet of 20,000. The button quickly folded and Hellmuth rose from his seat, ready to give another speech.

"I flopped the nuts," Hellmuth belted out. "I have to let him get away with it." Hellmuth tossed the {7-}{4-}{2-} to the muck and the pot was sent to Turner. "You just have to let them bluff you a couple times and then your chips go like this," as he gestured his stack rising.
