Woodward Doubles Through Song Twice

Matthew Woodward has just secured two double-ups at the expense of Kevin Song.

In the first hand, Song raised, short stack Woodward three-bet, Song four-bet and ultimately called after Woodward moved all in.

Woodward held to move up to around the 100,000-chip mark, and just a couple of hands later he was all in against Song once more.

Woodward opened with a raise from the cutoff and Song called in the small blind. The latter then led with a bet on the {2-Clubs}{3-Spades}{4-Hearts} flop, and Woodward called. The turn came the {a-Hearts}, Song bet 30,000, Woodward moved all in for 53,000 total and was called.

Scheibner Doubles Through Woodward

In the last hand before the break, Jeffrey Scheibner called on the button and Matthew Woodward raised on the button. Kevin Song in the big blind and Scheibner both called the raise.

The flop came {4-Spades}{k-Hearts}{10-Spades}, and both Song and Scheibner checked. Woodward continued with a bet which only Scheibner called.

The turn brought the {5-Hearts}, and Scheibner checked. Woodward bet and Scheibner was not happy. Scheibner looked at the clock. "What are the next blinds?" he asked.

"15/30" the dealer and Woodward replied.

Scheibner called.

The river completed the board with the {10-Hearts}. Scheibner moved all in for his last 12,000 and Woodward called. Scheibner tabled {J-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for trip jacks and Woodward held {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} for two pair. After paying Scheibner, Woodward had just over 100,000 left.

The flop came {8-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{7-Hearts}, Woodward checked, Chebotarev bet, Song called. Woodward raised, Chebotarev three-bet and Song called again. Woodward four-bet and both Chebotarev and Song called.

The turn brought them the {3-Hearts} on which they all checked through to the {j-Hearts} on the river. Both Woodward and Chebotarev checked. Song now bet and only Woodward called. Song showed {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for the rivered straight and that was enough to make Woodward muck his hand,.
