Big Pot for Heartberg

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante

Angelo Karimalis, with only 2,800 chips left, was all in from the big blind. Michael Jex made a call and Jeremy Heartberg raised. Rick Fuller situated in the cut-off chose to three-bet and Heartberg made the call after a fold from Jex.

With two players still active in the hand, the flop went {5-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{a-Spades} and Heartberg checked-raised Fuller's bet. The latter called to go see a {7-Clubs} on the turn. After another bet from Heartberg, Fuller opted to let it go and Heartberg and Karimalis tabled their cards.

Holding {K-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}, Heartberg was ahead of Karimalis's hand with {k-Spades}{3-Spades}. The river {4-Diamonds} brought no help to Karimalis and he made his way to the cashier.

Chebotarev Hurts Shulman

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante

The flop was showing {2-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{6-Hearts} in a raised pot when Jeff Shulman check-raised Oleg Chebotarev's bet. The latter called and things heated up on the {a-Clubs} turn.

Shulman made a first bet and three-bet after Chebotarev raised. Chebotarev eventually called and the dealer revealed a {j-Diamonds} on the river. This time, both players checked and Shulman tossed his hand into the muck after Chebotarev tabled {j-Hearts}{4-Hearts} for a pair of jacks.

Shulman, who finished 3rd in the 2012 $5,000 Limit Hold'em, fell down to a stack of around 46,000.
