Berry Doubles Through

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Paawan Bansal raised to 11,500 from early position and Andrew Brokos called on the button. With the action on Will Berry in the big blind, he moved all in for 69,500. Bansal quickly folded and Brokos called.

Will Berry: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}
Andrew Brokos: {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}

Berry was in great shape to double up holding big slick against the suited ace-jack of Brokos, and he did just that after the {q-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{4-Clubs}{3-Hearts} runout.

Laplante Doubles Through Burns

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Ryan Laplante
Ryan Laplante

Ryan Laplante opened the betting from under the gun. The player on his left called and everyone else folded round to Kahle Burns, who three-bet to 39,000. When it came back to Laplante, he went all in over the top for 114,000 total. The caller passed and Burns made the call.

Kahle Burns {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}
Ryan Laplante {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}

The flop brought out {2-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{a-Spades} and Burns, having been the preflop favorite, was now looking for the case queen. The {6-Diamonds} turn and {10-Hearts} river didn't help and he was left very short, just as the table was broken.

Bojang Chips Up

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Ismael Bojang
Ismael Bojang

Ismael Bojang has been building up his stack. The last pot he took down showed {3-Spades}{a-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} by the turn.

One player checked and Bojang made it 36,000 to see the river card. The bet was called and the {4-Hearts} completed the board. This time both players checked and Bojang's top pair with {a-Clubs}{8-Clubs} was good to take the chips.

Ferguson Eliminates Steinman

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Chris Ferguson
Chris Ferguson

Chris Ferguson raised to 10,000 from early position and Ian Steinman moved all in for 74,500. It folded back to Ferguson who called and the cards were shown.

Chris Ferguson: {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}
Ian Steinman: {a-Spades}{8-Spades}

The dealer fanned the {9-Spades}{6-Spades}{6-Diamonds} flop and Ferguson flopped a full house to put a hammerlock on the hand. The turn was the {2-Spades} and the {7-Spades} hit the river. Ferguson's full house was best against the flush of Steinman and he was sent to the rail.

"Good job, by the way," Feguson said to Steinman regarding the runner-up finish to Eric Baldwin in the WSOP $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em (Event #37). Steinman thanked Ferguson for the compliment and made his way to the payout line.

Dzivielevski Takes From Brokos

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Three players were in on the turn with {9-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{q-Spades}{6-Hearts} out.

Champie Douglas checked and Yuri Dzivielevski bet 13,500. Andrew Brokos called but Douglas passed, taking them heads up to the river.

It was a {10-Spades} and both players decided to check. Dzivielevski tabled {q-Clubs}{k-Hearts} and Brokos sent his cards into the muck.

Marder Trips Up Peters

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

David Peters raised to 11,500 from under the gun and Michael Marder was next to act. Marder moved all in for 70,000 and it folded back to Peters who gave it quite a bit of thought before calling. Marder turned over {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} but was dominated by the {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds} of Peters.

There was a ten in the window for Marder to take the lead on the {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} flop. The turn was the {10-Spades} improving Marder to trip tens, leaving Peters drawing dead. The meaningless {3-Spades} completed the board and Marder doubled up.
