Corbett Shove Gets Through; Shows Pocket Fours

Level 8 : 250/500, 75 ante

Daniel Corbett was on the button and up against an opponent in the hijack. On the {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} board, Corbett was checked to, and he bet 7,400. His opponent made the call, and the river was the {7-Spades}.

Corbett was checked to, and he moved all in for 21,950.

His opponent went into the tank and took some time to think before asking for a chip count.

"Will you show me if I fold this time?", he said, and Corbett remained unresponsive.

After a couple of minutes, Corbett called the clock, and his opponent was given 30 seconds to act, but before the tournament director could start the 10-second countdown, the player folded.

Corbett instantly breathed a sigh of relief and flipped over pocket fours for fifth pair, and he collected the pot.

Yoon Bounces Right Back

Level 9 : 300/600, 100 ante
Brian Yoon
Brian Yoon

Brian Yoon just lost a couple of pots to drop him down around 40,000. That did not stop him from playing his style though as he opened to 1,400 from the cutoff.

The small blind then three-bet to 4,400 and Yoon quickly made the call. The flop fell {7-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} and both players checked. The turn came the {6-Diamonds} and the small blind opponent then led out for 3,500.

Yoon made the call and the river came the {k-Hearts}. Both players then checked and the small blind opponent tabled {j-Spades}{q-Hearts} for a pair of queens. Yoon showed {a-Spades}{8-Spades} for a pair of aces and enough to take down a bounce-back pot.
