Schwartz Loses His Micro Stack

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

Noah Schwartz acted first preflop and called for 6,000. Danny Wong limped for 8,000 in the cutoff and so did button Richard Lyndaker. The player in the big blind checked and the whole runout {4-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{A-Spades}{7-Hearts}{8-Spades} was checked and Schwartz showed {8-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{3-Spades} for just a rivered pair of eights, already standing up.

Danny Wong was the one delivering the KO after opening {7-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} for two pair.

Aranda Takes Nearly All of Schwartz's Chips

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante
Noah Schwartz
Noah Schwartz

We came upon the tail end of an all-in pot with Noah Schwartz in disbelief, holding up the dealer from mucking his hand so he could take a photo of the final result. The board had run out {3-Spades}{a-Spades}{4-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds} and Nicholas Aranda had the winning hand with {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{10-Spades}. Schwartz had missed an absolutely monstrous draw with {7-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{4-Spades}. He sent 310,000 to his neighbor and stalked away from the table in shock.

"How is this real life?" he whispered to himself as he returned to his seat.

Lamb Shows Tens Full

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

From the big blind, Ben Lamb was betting 43,000 into the pot with the board reading {4-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}. His left-hand neighbor Martin Kozlov looked tempted.

Kozlov cut out calling chips, put them aside of his remaining stack, leaned back in his chair with a big yawn, then played with the 43,000 for a moment and eventually moved them forward.

Lamb turned up {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{4-Spades} for tens full of fours and Kozlov's hand couldn't compete in the showdown.

Makarov Gets There After He and Zanot Get in Tied

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

Alexey Makarov potted for 132,000 from the small blind on {2-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{a-Spades}. Thomas Zanot confirmed the bet, thought about 30 seconds, and shoved all in for 160,000. Makarov called with {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{10-Hearts} playing ace-king, and Zanot was playing the same with {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}. However, a {10-Spades} turn gave Makarov aces up and the {7-Hearts} river kept him best.

Hughes Back to a Dominant Stack

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante
Ryan Hughes
Ryan Hughes

Ryan Hughes started the day as a chip leader but he was down to a nub a few levels ago. It's all forgotten now as Hughes is back at the top.

He was spotted in a pot against Richard Gryko who was under the gun, check-calling a bet on the flop of {8-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{9-Clubs}.

The turn was the {K-Hearts} and Gryko check-called another 125,000.

They saw the {K-Clubs} complete the board and Gryko checked one more time. Hughes announced he was betting 125,000 and Gryko took about a minute before he finally threw in the calling chips.

"Nut flush," Hughes said, rolling over {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} for the ace-high flush along with a king blocker.

Gryko mucked and Hughes stacked his chips in tall piles, his traditional way when he's guarding a big stack.

Wasserson Folds Out Miller on River

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

Ryan Miller bet 95,000 from the small blind in a bloated pot with {3-Spades}{q-Clubs}{k-Clubs} having flopped. Eric Wasserson called in early position and they both checked the {6-Hearts}, with Wasserson asking about the pot size before rapping the table. On the {6-Clubs} river, Miller checked. Wasserson bet 100,000 and Miller thought a minute and folded.

Lyndaker Cracks Szecsi's Aces

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

Richard Lyndaker raised the button to 21,000 and Norbert Szecsi countered with a three-bet, making it 69,000 in the small blind.

Lyndaker called and a fast action followed on the {8-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{2-Hearts} flop where Szecsi potted, Lyndaker shoved, and Sczecsi called.

Szecsi: {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}
Lyndaker: {Q-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}

Szecsi was ahead with aces, but Lyndaker had a flush draw and a pair with his dangler. The {8-Spades} was a brilliant card for Szecsi who didn't need to worry about Lyndaker's possible two pairs.

Unfortunately for Szecsi, he was still unable to avoid the {4-Hearts} river which filled Lyndaker's flush draw. Szecsi left his chair in the blink of an eye while Lyndaker moved his chips to his piles, vaulting to 558,000.
