Nguyen Rockets Up

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante
Scotty Nguyen
Scotty Nguyen

On a flop of {7-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}, both blinds checked to the cutoff, who bet 20,500. Igor Yaroshevskyy called in the small blind before Scotty Nguyen jammed in the big. It was 84,000 more and the cutoff repotted to chase Yaroshevskyy out.

Nguyen had flopped a set with {k-Spades}{7-Spades}{8-Hearts}{7-Hearts} and was facing clubs and jacks against {a-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{j-Spades}. It was a short sweat as the {8-Clubs} turn gave Nguyen a boat and the {a-Spades} river kept it best.

Lehmanski Pulls Off a Call to Score a Giant Double

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante

Several minutes into Max Lehmanski's decision on the river of the {9-Spades}{J-Spades}{8-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} board, another player on his table called a clock.

Lehmanski was in a tough spot, sitting on the button and facing an all-in river-bet from small blind Majid Yahyaei. There was over 100,000 in the middle and Lehmanski had 107,500 left.

He eventually made the call for all his chips and Yahyaei turned up {Q-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for a nut straight. Lehmanski, however, rolled over {A-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} for sixes full and raked in the massive pot.

Fuchs Picks Off Failla

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante

With {j-Spades}{5-Hearts}{9-Spades}{9-Hearts} on the felt, Will Failla bet 15,000 from under the gun, about the size of the pot. Carol Fuchs called in the big blind. The river was the {2-Hearts} and Fuchs checked. Failla bet 30,000 and Fuchs thought about 30 seconds and called.

Failla knuckled the table and Fuchs showed {q-Spades}{10-Spades}{4-Hearts}{3-Hearts} for a low flush.

Wasserson and Klein Chop

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante

Loren Klein made it 8,000 in the middle position and Eric Wasserson raised to 31,000 in the hijack. Klein called and they saw the {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{7-Spades} hit the felt. Klein let Wasserson continue for 15,000 and then check-raised to 34,000.

Wasserson spent over a minute thinking and then slid in a pile of chips, covering Klein's remaining stack. Klein called right away.

Both players had ace-king in their hands and the {4-Spades} and {4-Diamonds} river changed nothing so they chopped the pot.

Connor Drinan
Connor Drinan

Connor Drinan was in the big blind and he stuffed all his 74,500 chips into the middle preflop, facing off against Eric Rabl who was in an early position.

Drinan: {K-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{10-Clubs}
Rabl: {A-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{6-Clubs}

The dealer spread out a board of {8-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}, giving Drinan two pair. Rabl had a flush draw on the turn but he couldn't get there and Drinan doubled up.
