Liebert Staying Afloat

Level 7 : 250/500, 0 ante

The cutoff limped in, the small blind completed, and Kathy Liebert checked her option.

The flop came {8-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} and the small blind checked. Liebert bet 1,000, the cutoff called, and the small blind folded.

The turn brought the {6-Diamonds} and Liebert announced a pot-sized bet of 3,500. After brief consideration, the small blind folded and Liebert took the pot to put her back at a starting stack.

George Can't Crack Aces

Level 7 : 250/500, 0 ante

Chris George was all in preflop, facing off against an opponent who had a very similar stack of about 8,000 in chips.

George turned up {A-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{2-Spades} and needed some help against {A-Clubs}{A-Spades}{8-Hearts}{7-Spades}. However, he couldn't catch a piece of the {K-Clubs}{3-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{10-} board and left his chair.

Negreanu Gets Half

Level 6 : 200/400, 0 ante

Action folded to the player in the cutoff and he raised to 1,000. Daniel Negreanu defended his big blind.

The flop came {K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{4-Hearts} and both players checked.

The {3-Diamonds} hit the turn, Negreanu bet 1,500, and the cutoff called.

The river brought the {A-Clubs} and Negreanu announced a pot-sized bet. The cutoff snap-called and Negreanu let out an expletive just as quickly in response.

"I must be in trouble," said Negreanu as his opponent flipped over {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{2-Spades} for aces full. Negreanu showed {10-Clubs}{7-}{4-Diamonds}{2-} and took half the pot with 7-4-3-2-A low.

Weinman Calls with a Worse Low

Level 6 : 200/400, 0 ante

On the river of the {2-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{7-Hearts} board, both players in the blinds were still in as well as button Daniel Weinman. The big blind pushed all in for 6,400 and Weinman made the call. Small blind contemplated for a while but then released his hand.

Weinman turned up {A-}{4-}{X-}{X-} but quickly mucked his hand when his opponent showed {A-}{9-}{9-}{3-}, scooping the whole pot.

"Now we're even," Weinman laughed, indicating that he'd previously taken a bite into his opponent's stack.

Lau Chops to Survive

Level 6 : 200/400, 0 ante

Alan Lau got his short stack in before the flop from the small blind against a single opponent on the button.

Alan Lau: {A-Hearts}{Q-}{J-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}
Button: {A-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{3-Hearts}
