Pender's Shove Gets Through

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante

Jameson Painter opened to 10,000 in middle position two players accepted his bid: Joshua Pender in the small blind and Jeff Williams in the big.

The flop was {5-Spades}{5-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} and Pender decided to front-shove his 19,500. Williams folded rather quickly but Painter asked for a count. Then he took about 30 seconds and figured out that he wasn't ready to spin and let his hand go.

Dudani Doubles Up

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante

Shiva Dudani was heads up against Quinn Do on a {J-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{K-Clubs} board with a substantial pot already brewing. The two players got the rest of the chips in the middle with Dudani at risk.

Shiva Dudani: {A-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{2-Spades}
Quinn Do: {K-Spades}{Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{5-Spades}

Dudani was drawing to the nuts in both directions but needed to improve against Do's kings to survive. The {4-Spades} on the river gave Dudani both the nut flush and nut low, so he scooped the pot to double up.

Big Scooper for Labat

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante

Picking up the action on the {3-Clubs}{6-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} turn, big blind Donna Cooper checked and so did Peter Walsworth in middle position. His left-hand opponent Antoine Labat bet the maximum, making it 63,000. He had only about 10,000 more in his stack.

The action was on Cooper who contemplated for a while and it seemed that she was about to fold her hand just when she said, "OK, I call." Walsworth released his hand in a second and Cooper wanted to turn her cards up but the table reminded her that she wasn't all in yet.

The river fell {Q-Spades} and both players checked.

Cooper missed her draw with {A-}{2-}{3-}{5-} and Labat took down a large pot with {A-Hearts}{10-Spades}{4-Clubs}{2-Spades}. Walsworth observed the showdown and then sighed, saying that he'd scoop if they let him peel the river.

Hellmuth Shoves On Yockey

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante

There were about 21,000 chips in the middle and the {A-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{3-Diamonds} flop was out when we got to the table. Phil Hellmuth was in middle position and heads up against Bryce Yockey, who was on the button. Hellmuth bet 8,000, and after some consideration, Yockey called.

The {K-Spades} hit the turn and Hellmuth jammed for 17,000. Yockey went into the tank for a bit and eventually folded, so Hellmuth took the pot.

Cantu Doesn't Slow Down

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante

Brandon Cantu made it 8,000 in early position and the action folded around to the big blind Andrew Yeh who matched the price.

They saw the {K-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{A-Clubs} hit the felt and Yeh checked to Cantu who fired 15,000. Yeh didn't hesitate and called.

The {10-Hearts} turn filled the flush draw and missed the low draw. Yeh checked and Cantu dropped another shell, making it 25,000. Yeh folded after 20 seconds or so.

Hoang Folds to Second Barrel

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante

From early position, Lee Armstrong was firing 12,000 in the pot when we arrived. He was in a heads-up pot against Kate Hoang who called in the cutoff with {4-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{J-Hearts} on the table.

The turn card was the {3-Diamonds} and Armstrong blasted another 30,000. Hoang laid her hand down.

Phil Hellmuth said that he folded the ace of diamonds.

"King-high flush. I had a full wrap and a flush draw," Armstrong responded.

Badolato Quarters Ferguson

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante

There was a substantial pot already brewing and the {J-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} flop was out when we got to the table. Chris Ferguson was in middle position and facing a bet from David Badolato, who was in the big blind. Ferguson put his whole stack in and Badolato called to put him at risk.

Chris Ferguson: {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{8-Spades}{3-Spades}
David Badolato: {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}{J-Spades}{3-Clubs}

Both players were drawing to the nut low but Badolato had the lead with his aces and Ferguson needed help from the deck to stay alive. The {4-Hearts} on the turn completed the low, and after the {2-Diamonds} hit the river, Badolato took three-quarters of the pot with aces up for the high half.
