Cruz Leaves Gupta With Crumbs

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

The board was reading {k-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{9-Hearts} with already more than 110,000 chips in the middle when Marciano Cruz first checked. Ashish Gupta, on the button, made a bet of 52,000 and Cruz thought about his next move for about a minute before announcing all-in with a stack of 214,000.

Gupta ended up making the call with {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts} for top pair, but quickly mucked his hand when Cruz tabled {a-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} for the straight. Gupta was left with three big blinds after that hand.
