Luther Comes Back

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante

Having fallen down to a short stack of 16,000 chips, Nikita Luther doubled twice after the bubble burst.

On one hand, she moved all in with {k-Hearts}{4-Hearts} after the cutoff player opened for 5,500 and the latter called with {a-Clubs}{6-Clubs}. The board brought Luther a straight with {j-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} and she doubled up to 38,000.

Two hands later, she shoved all in once more, holding {k-Hearts}{q-Clubs} after a first player raised. Her opponent called with {3-Spades}{3-Diamonds} and the board brought a {q-Diamonds} on the river to Luther, who climbed to 80,000.

On the other side, Athanasios Polychronopoulos and Adrien Delmas busted right after being in the money.

Short-Stacked Silver

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante
Max Silver
Max Silver

Max Silver was facing a bet of 15,500 when we arrived at his table.

The board was reading {Q-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{7-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{K-Spades} and Silver had a visibly tough decision. He grabbed some chips, counted out the bet, and waited for a little bit before throwing them to the middle.

His opponent showed {J-Spades}{J-Hearts} and Silver threw his cards in the muck.

Big Double Up for Boyd

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante
Dutch Boyd
Dutch Boyd

The board was showing {5-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{k-Clubs} when Dutch Boyd made a bet for 12,000. His opponent raised it to 34,000 and Boyd announced all-in for a stack of 88,600. His opponent snap-called and both players tabled their cards:

Dutch Boyd: {10-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}
His opponent: {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}

Boyd had to hit the river to survive, which he did with the {4-Diamonds} that gave him a flush. Boyd has now a stack worth 200,000.

Song Loses Some Chips

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Kevin Song opened for 7,000 in the cutoff and the small blind player announced all in for 28,000. After some thought, Song eventually called with {k-Hearts}{10-Clubs}.

His opponent, holding {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}, was in good shape to win the hand and the {7-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} run out gave him the double up.

Reichenstein Puts Lewis Into a Decision

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

The board was showing {k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{3-Spades} on a blind versus blind situation when Uri Reichenstein checked from the big blind, and so did Romain Lewis.

The river was a {4-Diamonds} and Reichenstein opted for a bet of 17,000, putting Lewis into deep thought. The French player ended up folding his hand and the pot went to Reichenstein.

Young Adds Chips

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Jordan Young raised from under the gun and three players made the call, including Calvin Anderson in the big blind.

The flop fell {5-Spades}{a-Spades}{6-Spades} and the four players checked. The same action happened on the {9-Hearts} turn. The river was the {k-Spades} and after the small blind and Anderson checked, Young made a bet for 10,000. The action folded back to Anderson, who thought about for some time before folding his hand as well.
