Hutter Takes From Abdellatif

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

The four biggest stacks at the start of the day are all seated at the same table. Barry Hutter just managed to get a little closer to Jonathan Abdellatif after taking down a preflop pot.

Abdellatif raised from the button to 28,000 and small blind Todd Ivens called. Big blind Barry Hutter had different plans and three-bet to 130,000. When it was back on Abdellatif he four-bet to 290,000. Ivens was out of the hand, but Hutter was far from being done.

Hutter five-bet all in for about 950,000 and Abdellatif folded.

Butkus Immeadiately Doubles Up

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Zachary Smiley raised to 26,000 from late position and David Butkus moved all in for 170,000. Smiley called and they opened up their hands.

Zachary Smiley: {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}
David Butkus: {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs}

As Butkus said "nice hand" to his opponent the dealer dealt out the {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}{J-Hearts} flop to give him the lead. The {Q-Clubs} turn and {2-Hearts} river didn't change anything, and Smiley had to send some chips over to Butkus.

Welcome back to Day 3 of Event #54: Big Blind Antes $3,000 No-Limit Hold'em. The 31 remaining players will return at 2 p.m. local time, with the plan being to play to a winner some time tonight.

Jonathan Abdellatif starts this final day of the tournament with a massive chip lead with 2,725,000, while number two on the leaderboards Barry Hutter will begin with 953,000. Other hopefuls still in the running for the coveted WSOP gold bracelet and the first-place prize of $522,715 are David "MissOracle" Yan (714,000), Kevin Song (675,000), and Kristen Bicknell (298,000). Scroll down for a look at everyone's start-of-day stacks and seat assignments.

Last year's eighth-place finisher Kris Homerding also found a bag at the end of Day 2, and he'll return seventh in the counts as he hopes to improve on his $63,457 score in this event a year ago. To do that he'll need to finish in sixth place or higher. Right now the players who return are all guaranteed to win at least $12,399.

Players will return at Level 21, with 6,000/12,000 blinds and a big blind ante of 12,000. As noted, play kicks off at 2 p.m., so come back then and stay tuned to PokerNews for updates throughout the day and night as we find out together who will be the Event #54 champion.
