McKenna Claims Most of the Biggest Pot of the Tournament So Far

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

There was a ton of chips already in the middle of the table on the river on a board reading {9-Spades}{6-Hearts}{5-Spades}{8-Spades}{3-Hearts}. Michael McKenna, Abdel Hamid and Jason Berilgen were all showing down their hands.

Michael McKenna: {A-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}
Adbel Hamid: {A-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{2-Hearts}
Jason Berilgen: {A-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{2-Spades}{Q-Clubs}

McKenna was holding two pair and the nut low and his two pair was good to claim the high end of the pot. Hamid and Berilgen both held ace-deuce as well. They each claimed only a third of the low pot while McKenna took the entirety of the high pot.

Listening in on some of the conversation from the table, Hamid apparently shoved all in on the turn, hoping to get one of the players to fold, as he held the ace of spades. McKenna was holding the nut low though and he didn't fold and neither did Berilgen.

With that, McKenna is now the chip leader in the tournament with over a million chips while the other two players are left short.

Rep Porter

Rep Porter moved all in before the flop, shoving in for 31,000 total. Action folded to the small blind where Eli Elezra called.

Eli Elezra: {A-Spades}{J-Hearts}{4-Spades}{2-Hearts}
Rep Porter: {A-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}

The board ran out {K-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{4-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} and Porter paired his eight on the river, catching up to stay alive in the tournament and doubling to over 70,000.

Elezra jokingly picked up his cards and tossed them at Porter after the hand.

"Oh shit," Elezra said looking over his shoulder. "There's a floor man behind me."

Engel Eliminated by Ohel

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante
Ari Engel
Ari Engel

As recapped to us by Randy Ohel, Ari Engel raised pot from the hijack and Ohel reraised pot from the small blind. Engel called and the rest of his chips were in the middle after a rainbow flop of {J-}{9-}{4-}.

Engel held {A-}{K-}{8-}{2-} with three diamonds, while Ohel held {A-}{A-}{7-}{3-} with spades and diamonds.

The board bricked out and Ohel scored the elimination.
