Le Climbing

Level 21 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

There was a substantial pot of about 35,000 chips in the middle and the {Q-Spades}{8-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} flop was out when we got to the table. The player under the gun checked to his lone opponent, 2016 Crazy Eights champion Hung Le, who was on the button. Le moved 15,000 chips into the middle and his opponent went into the tank. He ultimately folded and Le took the pot to chip up.

Men Nguyen raised to 7,200 from the hijack and the player in the big blind called.

The flop came {K-Spades}{6-Hearts}{2-Clubs} and both players checked.

The {Q-Spades} fell on the turn and the big blind bet 8,000. Nguyen quickly moved a stack of orange T-5,000 chips forward, putting the big blind to a decision for his stack. After about a minute and a half in the tank, he ultimately folded, and Nguyen took the pot.

A Huge Pot for Southerland

Level 22 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

There was a massive pile of chips already in the middle and the board read {Q-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{A-Clubs} when we got to the table. The player in the big blind, who had about 30,000 to start the hand according to the table, was already all-in against two players. Troy Southerland, who was in the small blind, got his stack in against the player on the button, creating a total pot of nearly 400,000.

Troy Southerland: {3-Hearts}{3-Clubs}
Big blind: {8-Hearts}{5-Spades}
Button: {A-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}

Southerland had a commanding lead with his set of threes but needed to dodge a diamond on the river in order to win. The final card was the {A-Hearts} and Southerland took the pot to stack the big blind, double through the button, and seize the chip lead.
