Kassela Slows Down Tafur

Level 6 : 1,500/3,000, 300 ante

Daniel Tafur had been cruising through the day, knocking players out left, right, and center, at his table until Frank Kassela joined his table.

Frank Kassela: {x-}{x-} / {2-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{3-Clubs} / {x-}
Daniel Tafur: {x-}{x-} / {q-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{j-Hearts} / {x-}
Opponent: {x-}{x-} / {7-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} - fold on fifth

The action was checked to Kassela on fourth who threw in a bet "just in case" as he said. Both Tafur and another opponent made the call. On fifth, Tafur made a pair of queens and led out with a bet. Kassela was the only player to call as they went heads-up to sixth.

Tafur checked to Kassela who showed four cards to a wheel and Kassela tossed in another bet. Tafur called and then checked again on seventh. Kassela bet again and Tafur let out a grumble.

"I don't think he's raising you," Esther Taylor pointed out at the table. Tafur indeed just called and Kassela turned over {a-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} for aces up and a seven perfect. Tafur flashed the {k-}{j-}{10-} before his cards went to the muck.

"What street didn't you like there?" Kyle Miaso asked Kassela.
