Frank Applies Pressure

Level 1 : 25/50, 0 ante

Four players saw a flop of {9-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{7-Clubs} and action checked around.

The {A-Diamonds} hit the turn and the small blind checked. The hijack checked, Christopher Frank bet 300 from the cutoff into an existing pot of about 800, the button folded, the small blind called, and the hijack called.

The {8-Hearts} fell on the river and the small blind bet 700. The hijack folded and Frank raised to 3,000. The small blind folded and showed {9-Spades}{9-Clubs} as the dealer pushed the pot Frank's way.

Owen Loses to a Set

Level 1 : 25/50, 0 ante

We picked up the action on the {8-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{6-Spades} turn where Adam Owen checked from under the gun, then called a 2,100-bet from a player on the button.

The {Q-Spades} river filled a backdoor flush draw and both players checked. Owen started rolling over what looked like two pair, eights and fours. His opponent quickly tabled {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{4-Hearts} and claimed the pot.

Stoffmaker Has It

Level 1 : 25/50, 0 ante

Coming to the river of the {A-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{4-Diamonds}, there was looked to be just over 4,000 already in the middle and Harley Stoffmaker decided to fire exactly 4,000 out of position. His opponent released his hand and Stoffmaker picked two cards and turned the {K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} face up, showing that he rivered the nuts.

Stockfish Gets Active

Level 1 : 25/50, 0 ante

Jason Stockfish raised to 150 from the button and the big blind called.

The flop came {A-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} and the big blind checked. Stockfish bet 225 and his opponent called.

The {6-Clubs} hit the turn and the big blind checked. Stockfish bet again, 600 this time. His opponent folded and Stockfish took the chips.

Chris Hunichen had just been seated at the same table. Christopher Frank, Matt Stout, and DJ MacKinnon were also recently seen taking their seats elsewhere in the Brasilia room.

Gamble Wins Even When He's Second Best

Level 1 : 25/50, 0 ante

In a three-way limped pot, the action checked to button Pete Arroyos on the {6-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{9-Spades}{A-Clubs} turn after the flop was checked. Arroyos fired 150 and Nathan Gamble raised pot out of the big blind. Ryan D'Angelo called from under the gun and Arroyos called as well to see the {9-Hearts} river.

Arroyos bet 1,000 in position and Gamble called, prompting a fold from D'Angelo who showed a set of fours. Arroyos announced he had two pair but Gamble had him beat with {A-Spades}{10-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{3-Spades}.

"How the hell did I fold that!" D'Angelo said. "Crazy. Alright, good to know," he added.
