Silver Picked Off by Stout

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante

Max Silver checked the {A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{5-Spades} turn from the big blind and Matt Stout fired 27,000 on the button. Silver called and led out 50,000 on the {4-Diamonds} river. Stout, however, made the call and Silver briefly flashed a part of his hand, showing {A-}{10-}{J-}{X-} before mucking as he knew he wasn't winning this one. Stout rolled over {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{6-Hearts} and raked in the pot.

Kid Poker's Showtime Continues

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante
Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

Daniel Negreanu has been providing some good show for his railbirds, getting it in for his tournament life. More importantly, Negreanu keeps winning and doubling, casually soaring through the rankings.

Negreanu took the centre stage once again on a {2-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} turn with over 80,000 in the middle. Negreanu moved all in for 75,000, earning a call from Fnu Navkiran Singh.

Negreanu turned up {A-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{3-Spades} for a wheel and Singh was drawing slim with {K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{7-Spades}{3-Clubs}, hoping to catch either a seven or a three to hit a full house. The river was the {K-Hearts}, giving Singh a set but that wasn't enough and Negreanu secured yet another double to vault over the virtual average line.

Martin Kozlov
Martin Kozlov

Tim Andrew raised to 14,000 from the cutoff and Martin Kozlov called from the big blind.

The flop came {J-Spades}{4-Hearts}{2-Clubs} and Kozlov checked. Andrew bet 15,500 and Kozlov called.

The {3-Diamonds} fell on the turn and both players checked.

The river brought the {7-Clubs} and Kozlov bet what looked like 40,500. Andrew quickly folded and Kozlov took the pot.

Zinno Flops the Nuts and Doubles

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante

All the chips went in the middle in a flurry of activity on an {A-Hearts}{5-Spades}{4-Spades} flop. Anthony Zinno was on the button and held {9-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{2-Clubs} for a wheel. He was up against the big blind, who tabled {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for top two pair. The {Q-Spades} on the turn gave the big blind some additional outs to a boat, but the {6-Spades} river wasn't one of them, so Zinno took the pot to double up after the dealer had verified his 113,500-chip stack.

Negreanu Trending Up

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante
Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

Much to the happiness of his fans in the rail, Daniel Negreanu won a big hand at the same time when Romain Lewis and Dominik Nitsche battled in the biggest pot of the event.

Negreanu improved to over 100,000 in chips and added some more to his stack recently when he opened the hijack to 10,000, earning a call from big blind Evangelos Kokkalis.

Negreanu went for a small, 6,000-bet on the {A-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{K-Clubs} flop and Kokkalis check-called before they checked down the {10-Clubs} turn and {9-Spades} river. Kokkalis started rolling over his two pair with {A-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{X-} but Negreanu had the best of it with {A-Spades}{K-Spades}{J-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}, climbing close to 40 big blinds.
