Day 3 of the Colossus Has Arrived

Matthew Causa
Matthew Causa

Welcome to Day 3 of Event #7: $565 COLOSSUS No-Limit Hold'em where cards will go in the air at 2 p.m. local time.

After two long days of poker, it is Matthew Causa with the chip lead after collecting 4,410,000 chips through the first two days. Causa's current total live earnings are $16,589, and he's already guaranteed to double that wherever he finishes here as all the players still in the tournament are guaranteed at least $17,597.

Thai Ha was chip leading for most of the day on Tuesday, and he's just behind Causa currently with a stack of 4,095,000. Other notables still in the field are Timothy Miles, Day 1e chip leader Kurt Jewell, and 2010 Main Event runner-up John Racener.

Today the final 32 players will play down to a final table in the Amazon room. Play will restart in Level 29 with the blinds at 30,000/60,000, with a 10,000 ante. There will be a 15-minute break after every two levels, and a 60-minute dinner break after Level 34, the sixth level of today.

Stay tuned to PokerNews to follow all the action as we find out together who from a massive 13,070-entry field will be making this year's Colossus final table.
