Bicknell Loses Two Small Ones

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

The board read {7-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{6-Spades}{5-Spades} with about 1,500 in the middle and both Kristen Bicknell (big blind) and Dario Sammartino (hijack) checked. The river completed the board with the {k-Spades} and Bicknell checked again. Sammartino now bet 1,350 and Bicknell folded.

The hand after, the flop read {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} and there was around 3,300 in the pot already. Bicknell now checked her small blind and Robert Covert shoved for about 18,000. Bicknell tanked.

"Ugh, I'm going to fold like such a girl!" Bicknell commented. She hesitated for a bit but still folded.

"Your aces are no good" Covert said and then showed the {q-Spades}.

"What else? I can beat queens!" Bicknell replied.

Covert just shrugged: "I can beat aces.".

The rest of the table which included Shyam Srinivasan, Fahredin Mustafov, and Pavel Plesuv discussed what Covert could have had.
