Hands #36-40: Sternberg Second in Chips

Hand #36: Ken Fishman raised to 250,000 from under the gun and Alan Sternberg called in the big blind. The flop came {q-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{3-Spades}, Sternberg check-shoved the 150,000 continuation-bet of Fishman to 1,070,000. Fishman folded.

Hand #37: Sternberg completed his small blind and Fishman opted to check the big blind. The flop came {10-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{9-Hearts}, Sternberg bet 125,000 and Fishman called. The turn brought them the {10-Spades} on which they both checked to the river which was the {5-Spades}, Sternberg check-raised the 250,000 bet of Fishman to 700,000. Fishman folded.

Hand #38: Aliaksei Boika raised to 200,000 from under the gun and was only called by Phil Hellmuth in the cutoff. The flop came {k-Clubs}{5-Spades}{q-Spades}, Boika checked and so did Hellmuth. The turn brought them the {8-Clubs}, Boika checked again. Hellmuth did the same. When the river completed the board with the {q-Clubs}, Boika now bet 250,000 and Hellmuth raised to 700,000. Boika looked at his cards once more and then folded.

Hand #39: Hellmuth raised to 250,000 from the under-the-gun position and Sternberg shoved for 2,300,000 from the cutoff. Everyone included Hellmuth folded.

Hand #40: Fishman raised to 250,000 from the cutoff and Hellmuth called in the big blind. The flop brought them the {5-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{4-Hearts}, Hellmuth quickly checked. Fishman shoved for 1,160,000. Hellmuth glanced at his hole cards and then folded.
