Chen Doubles Through Foxen

Level 5 : 300/500, 500 ante

Alex Foxen opened the action with a raise and James Chen called in the big blind. The flop came down {6-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{4-Hearts} and both players checked and saw a {j-Diamonds} turn. Chen bet 1,700 and Foxen called, and on the {7-Clubs} river, Chen's check allowed Foxen to bet 7,000, which was enough to put his opponent all in.

Chen thought for several minutes before he made the call for his tournament life.

"I'm just too curious," said Chen.

Foxen tabled {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs} for ace high, and Chen won the pot with {7-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for a pair.

Shak Eliminated Due to Kicker Problems

Level 5 : 300/500, 500 ante
Dan Shak
Dan Shak

Dan Shak has been eliminated from the tournament. He had 5,700 left in front of him and that went to the middle with {A-Hearts}{J-Spades}. Unfortunately for Shak, he had to win against {A-Spades}{K-Hearts} from the under-the-gun player who had raised preflop. Shak had, in fact, the opportunity to triple up after Robert Mizrachi called the shove from Shak as well, but Mizrachi folded after the under-the-gun player four-bet.

The board ran out {7-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{Q-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds} and the kicker of Shak's opponent played.

Silver Wins One

Level 5 : 300/500, 500 ante

Max Silver raised from under the gun and saw Benjamin Pollak call in the small blind and the player in the big blind also called. The flop came down {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}, and Silver bet 1,200 after the action was checked to him. Pollak called and the big blind folded.

The turn brought the {3-Diamonds}, and Pollak led for 1,600, which Silver called. Pollak decided to check on the {5-Hearts} river, and Silver's 2,000 bet got the former to fold.

"I finally got one through," said Silver with a smile on his face after previously losing a succession of hands.

Bicknell Trumps Trumper

Level 5 : 300/500, 500 ante
Kristen Bicknell
Kristen Bicknell

With an already complete board of {3-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} out there, Kristen Bicknell had 4 peach colored 5,000 chips laying in front of her with a pot in the middle of well over 20,000 already. The action was on Simon Trumper and he took his time to figure out what to do.

After a while, he ended up calling and Bicknell showed {4-Clubs}{3-Spades} for a full house. Trumper showed the {5-Diamonds} for a straight, but with the river card out there giving Bicknell a full house he lost the hand.

Another player at the table claimed to have folded seven-five while Bicknell was already stacking up her newly won chips.
