Piccioli Eliminates Guerrero

Level 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Jimmy Guerrero raised to 11,000 from early position and it folded around to big blind Bryan Piccioli who shoved all in, covering Guerrero's 90,000 or so. Guerrero paused for a moment and then pushed his piles forward.

Piccioli: {8-Spades}{8-Hearts}
Guerrero: {7-Diamonds}{7-Spades}

The flop of {9-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} gave Piccioli a set but it was far from over as Guerrero spiked an open-ender. The rest of the board bricked out and Guerrero was knocked out after seeing the {3-Clubs} and {Q-Clubs} hit the board.

Piccioli claimed that he had only 10,000 just 40 minutes ago but he's now guarding one of the biggest stacks in the room.

Conrad vs. Farrell

Level 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Chris Conrad bet 13,000 on a {Q-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{3-Clubs} flop into an existing pot of about 40,000 and Niall Farrell was the only caller.

The {9-Hearts} fell on the turn and both players checked.

The river brought the {2-Spades} and Conrad checked. Farrell bet 22,000 and Conrad called.

"That's bad for me," said Farrell.

Conrad showed {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs} and his hand was good enough to win the pot.

Farrell Folds to Deeb

Level 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Niall Farrell raised to 9,000 in early position and Shaun Deeb three-bet to 53,000 from middle position, leaving himself a single T-500 chip behind. Farrell went into the tank and banter ensued.

"You can guess my hand," Farrell said.

"Ace queen?" Deeb asked, prompting a laugh from Farrell.

"I'd have already matched the bet."

Farrell ultimately folded and Deeb took the pot.

Hellmuth Won't Get Number 16

Level 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Phil Hellmuth
Phil Hellmuth

Phil Hellmuth returned to just 6,500 after the break, posting ante and small blind. The action folded to the 15-time WSOP champion and he limped in. The player in the big blind put him all in and Hellmuth instantly threw in his last 2,000.

Unfortunately for Hellmuth, his {Q-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} was in a devastatingly bad shape as his neighbor turned up nothing less than the {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}.

The {2-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{10-Clubs} flop gave nothing to the Poker Brat and he stood up. It wasn't over yet when the turn arrived as the {4-Hearts} gave Hellmuth some chances but the {5-Clubs} river ended Hellmuth's tournament, only 15 spots away from paid places.
