Melancon Doubles Through Volpe

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

After a raise and three-bet to 225,000 from Paul Volpe, Joseph Melancon jammed all in for 590,000 in the small blind. The action was back on Volpe who asked for a count and gave it some thought. He eventually made the call but found himself in bad shape.

Joseph Melancon: {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}
Paul Volpe: {a-Spades}{2-Spades}

Melancon had the superior hand and would hold on throughout the board of {q-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{9-Spades} to earn a full double-up.
