Gerrits Holds For a Big Double Versus Pollak

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 15,000 ante

Ivan Luca opened the action with a raise to 230,000 from early position and saw Martijn Gerrits three-bet in the next seat to 700,000. Benjamin Pollak was next to act and thought for a couple of minutes before he cold four-bet to 1.35 million. The action folded back around to Luca, and he quickly folded, which meant Gerrits had a big decision to make.

Gerrits gave himself a minute to think before he moved all in for 2.74M and Pollak called.

Martijn Gerrits: {j-Hearts}{j-Spades}
Benjamin Pollak: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}

Board: {10-Hearts}{8-Spades}{8-Hearts}{2-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

It was a classic race, and although Gerrits held his lead on the flop, Pollak had hit the nut flush draw. It was to be a tense few moments for Gerrits, but he came through with the full double after the board bricked for last year's Main Event bronze medalist Pollak.
