Fletcher Doubles Through Palevic, Who Goes Bust

Level 29 : 60,000/120,000, 20,000 ante
Rifat Palevic
Rifat Palevic

Rifat Palevic opened for 280,000 in middle position and Clayton Fletcher made it 800,000 on the button. Palevic called and the flop came {3-Spades}{a-Spades}{a-Hearts}. Palevic stared at Fletcher and checked without looking at the flop, which brought a chuckle from Fletcher.

"Are you gonna look?" he asked. "Should I tell you what it is? It's ace of spades, ace of hearts, three of spades."

Fletcher bet 500,000 and Palevic called. Palevic checked the {4-Hearts} and again Fletcher narrated the card for him.

"He loves the drama," Fletcher said.

This time, Fletcher shoved for 3,020,000.

"You put a lot of pressure on, you know that?" Palevic said with a sigh as he tanked. "What's your name? I want to know who I lose to."

"Clayton," Fletcher said. "Clayton Fletcher."

They continued to converse for awhile and then someone called a clock. Palevic thanked him for it and then flicked in a call about 10 seconds later. Fletcher opened {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} and Palevic had just two outs with {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}. The river was a {6-Diamonds} and Palevic was left under two big blinds and busted moments later in 55th place.
