Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

The board showed {a-Spades}{4-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{3-Spades}, and Patrick Leonard put in a 7,900 bet from under the gun in a heads-up pot. Tal Avivi countered with an all-in raise for his last 14,900, sending Leonard into the tank.

Leonard agonized for several minutes before finally folding. "Good fold," Avivi said. "I had five-six."

Both players are currently sitting north of the 40,000-chip mark.

Nakamura Scoops Vornicu

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Badacey

Valentin Vornicu in the small blind and Tamon Nakamura in the big each had 4,000 in front of them after Vornicu flicked a chip in to match a bet from Nakamura after the first draw. Each drew one and Vornicu check-called again then patted. Nakamura still needed a card but Vornicu checked the end. Nakamura bet and Vornicu called.

Nakamura showed {6-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{2-Spades}{a-Clubs} for a six-six. Vornicu said he had made a seven.

Butcher Rivers the Set to Survive

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

No-Limit Hold'em

Brad Butcher went all in for his last 5,000 chips on the small blind, and got a quick call from Andrew Barber in the cutoff.

Brad Butcher: {9-Clubs}{9-Spades}
Andrew Barber: {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}

Butcher saw the bad news when Barber tabled the pocket queens, and found no help on the flop and turn, which came out {7-Clubs}{2-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}. The river was kind for Butcher, however, as the {9-Diamonds} appeared, keeping him alive in the tournament.

"Mom, I Beat Scott in a Hand"

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Scott Bohlman
Scott Bohlman

Big O

With {3-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{7-Spades} on the felt, Tim Frazin got all in for his last 9,500 or so against Scott Bohlman. According to another player, the pot had gone multi-way to the flop and Frazin and Bohlman saw the turn heads up.

Scott Bohlman: {a-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{q-Spades}{7-Hearts}
Tim Frazin: {a-Spades}{4-Spades}{2-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}

Both players had wheels with redraws and Bohlman called for a six and got one. Unfortunately for him, it was the {6-Spades} to give Frazin the nut flush, quartering Bohlman. After the hand, Frazin mocked calling his mother to tell her the news.

"Mom, I beat Scott in a hand," Frazin said excitedly, causing even Bohlman to grin. "She doesn't believe me.

Watson Outdraws Kalas for the Double Up

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

2-7 Single Draw

David Bach opened to 1,000 on the button, Mike Watson raised to 2,500, and Kane Kalas shoved over the top from the big blind with his 39,000 stack. Back folded, and Watson thought for a few seconds and put in the call for his remaining 16,000.

Watson drew one and Kalas stood pat, showing {9-}{8-}{6-}{4-}{3-}. Watson's one-card draw did the trick, and he ended up with the eight-high {8-}{7-}{5-}{4-}{2-} to double up to 38,000 chips.
